In more detail. in tho drawings, the bolt, upon which the veiling is to he wrappod is of llattonod tubular form having side walls 10 and ll suitably spaood apart at the edges h odgo strips 12. Those odgo strips 12 and walls 10 and 11 dolino a slot 13 open at both onds of tho tnho which is adaptod to receive a slide 14. In use the sales poi-son ronioi'os the bolts from the shelves and first pulls out. the slide 14 from the top to disclose to the customer the roiling over the opaque hack portion or over the representation of the face as the case may be. From this prelhninary exatninalion the customer can frequently determine whether the veiling is at all suitahle. If the customer wishes to examine the veiling more (-ritirally, .2. e. to look through 5 it into a mirror, the sales person either partially withdraws the slide from thefiother end ol' the holt so that the customer ran look through the veiling apl 'aring over the wind w, or the slide may he entirely removed aid handed to the customer. it is also possihlie for the slide to he almost entirely withdr: vu from the upper end ol the holt it it Is ('esired to inspect the veiling in this man- 'nerl r l? the use of this device the sale of veiling and similar materials may he farilitated as will he well understood.- Furthermore nuilril'aeturers can identify a veiling with a particular trade-mark and in this way edurate their customers to demand a partieular make of veiling.

A display device for veiling and the like, comprising a slide adapted to he slidahl inserted in a holt and having an aperturo"therein, said slide having provisions for rereiqiug a sample of the veiling and for permanently displaying the same over an aperture therein of such dimensions and eontour as to permit a human visage to he in specled therethrougli, whereby a person may determine the appearanre of the veiling 40 when the. same is placed in front of a fare, and said slide having a hack-ground portion adjacent the window aperture to permit an inspection of the veiling against a hack ground, said window aperture and background being relatively so disposed as to permit of concurrent inspection through the window and against the. haekground.

A display device for veiling and the like, comprising a slide adapted to he inserted within a holt carrying a veiling, said slide having an opaque hack portion against whieh the veiling may be inspected and a window aperture through which the veiling may he inspected, said slide having provision to seeure the said veil in adjustment over the opaque haek portion and window aperture.

A display deviee for veiling and the like, comprising a slide. adapted to he inserted in and removed from a holt rarnyinp the veiling. said slide having a haek portion and a front portion, said hack portion having an opaque portion and a window aperture, and the front portion having a window aperture exposing the opaque portion and the aforesaid window in the hack portion, said front and hark parts of the slide heing adapted to receive a piece of veiling therehetween whereby said veiling may he inspected against a background and in iront of a mirror suhstantially as described.
