To all whom it mayconccrn:

Be it known that I, WAY E E. CRESSMAN, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Gwynedd Valley, in the county of Montgomery and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and Improved Toy, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.

My invention relates to a toy picture machine wherein images may be thrown upon a screen.

A prime object of'thc invention is to proride a toy picture machine provided with a source of 'light'in the rear of the screen, and a platform adapted to be turned and provided with means to receive paper dolls, cut-out pictures, etc., adapted to be brought in succession by the turning of the platform to a position between the source of light and the screen so that the shadow of the miniature object will be thrown upon the screen.

A further important object of the invention is to provide in connection with an electric circuit and an electric lamp, novel means associated with the platform so that the turning of the latter will make and break the circuit and cause illumination only when the object, the image of which is to be thrown upon the screen, is positioned between the screen and the lamp.

Other objects of the invention, as well as the structural features thereof, and the ad vantages will appear as the description pro c ceds.

Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings forming a part of this specification in which similar reference characters indicate corresponding parts in all the views.

Figure 1 is a perspective view of a toy embodying my invention; Fig. 2 is a sectional plan view, the section being taken in a plane corresponding with the line 22, Fig. 3;

Said platform has contact tacks 28 or the like on-the periphery thereof at intervals and from these contact elements 28, wires 29 extend to the lower bearing element 16. A plate 30 on the bottom of the box is in metallic contact with the bearing cup or plate 16 and the wire 31 extends from said plate 30 to the lamp.

By the described arrangement the turning of the platform 15 will bring an object 20 thereonto a forward position between the lamp 21 and the screen 12, and at the same time'the circuit will be closed by engagement of the rear contact element 28, with the spring contact 27, thus closing the lamp circuit and thereby throwing the image of the front object 20 on the screen. 7 It will I thus n t at a?! iefiei e W tt f B? jects may be mounted on the platform 15 so that various images may be thrown upon the screen while'the objects producing the images will involve little or no cost.

The form illustrated in Figs. 3 and 4 is simplified in that the post 15 is omitted, to-

The lamp 21 is received in a socket '16 -coaXial or substantially so, with the post 16 and mounted thereon.
