Beit known that l, JAMES H. MASON, a citizen ofthe United States, residing at Grand Prairie, in the county of"Dallas State of Texas, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Games; and li do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear', and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which itsappertains to make and4 use the same.
The present invention is directed to improvements in games, and more particularly to a game similar tocheckers.
The invention has for its object to providd a game comprising a board having its playing surface marked with men spaces and blank spaces arranged in such relationIv that four persons can play .theagame A further object of the invention' is to provide a game board which consists of a lpair of hingedly connected sections having one of their surfaces marked with spaces' for playing the game, and its otherl surfaces provided with recesses which` are adapted to confront when the sections lare folded' so as to pro ide pockets the men r checkers.

this invention resides in the novel features of construction, formation', combination and arrangement of parts to be hereinafter more fully described, claimed and illustrated in the accompanying drawing in which Figure 1 is a top plan view of the board showing the same in its operative position.

The under surfaces of the sections 2 are provided with recesses 7 which are adapted to form flded together, for receiving the checkers o men-.v
'One of the free edges of onebf the sections 2 is rovided with a spring latch 9 which is a apted to snap into engagement with'the lug' 10 carried by the free edge of thev other section, and when engaged serve to hold the sections with their rear faces in contacting relation so as to retain the checkers or men within the. pockets 8.
It will be of course understood that th spaces can be printed directly on the sections, or they can be printed on paper and the paper pasted on the sections.
