Said spring moval oi' the roller owing to its flexibility which permits the socket carried thereby to be moved away from the cooperating end 0f the roller and thus permit the opposite end thereof to be withdrawn from the fixed socket. Having thus described my invention, what l. claim is l. The combination of a type-bearing member, an impression-member coperating therewith, an inking-device, a curvedshield located 'at one end of said'type-bearing mem- A ber and -pivotally secured to permit of its swinging downward, and paper deliverymechanism adapted to move 'the printed paper against said shield and deliver the same underneath said type-bearing member.
2. The combination with a. support having a paper-receiver, of a type-bearing member mounted on said support, above said paper-receiver, an impression-member co-' operating with said type-bearing member, an inking-device, a curved shield located at one end of said support and pivotally connected therewithso'as to swing thereon, and paper-delivery mechanism adapted to move the printed paper against said shield and deliver the same into said paper-receiver.
