To a'ZZ whom '55 may 6071mm;
Be it known shat-I, JOHN BEACH, a
citizen of the Unite States, residing at Chi' cago, in she county 0" Cook and State of Illinois, have invenae certain new m1 use ful impiovemeuts in Phonogi-aph Turn-Tor nies, of which the foiiowing is a specification.
My invention relates to improvements in inducing instruments and more part1 so a disk-recoici supporting p i cuiieii a 'filiIi-tflbifi which is u iypes of toiling machines in W feriike disk-recorcis- "mciiincs Wiio w ii i i J u sn-Labie is carried on '71? some! en of a vertical driving spimiie one]; iessed szeei or coat ine cs the i e with the soio object of providisg a record support and drive,
he o'o'ect of my invention is io provide :1 turn-cable to be used in place of the table furnished by the manufacturer which will enhance and. enrich "size tones of the sounds seduced by the instrument and T8- produce with greater fidelity the tones of she instrument, 01' voices origimiiiy z'ecorded upon disks.
Another o bjiecii of my invention is the provisiono'f such turn-table having greater resonan e than those now in use which wiii respond to the vibrations caused in the reproducing diaphragm by the styius fol-- iowing the irsegeiarities in size grooves of recon}, thus augmenting or increasing the w-oiume sound producai by the instrument.
A still further object of the invention is the, provision of a turn-fable which will genei-aiiy improve m qualities of the so omis and; make them more pleasing to the ears of s. listener.
Still other anci further objects will. become apparent to those skiiieci in size ai't from 3b consideration of. the following descviptioi i and mwing, wherein?- Figui'e 1 is plan View of my improved turn-tabie \in parts broken away so iiiuscsite structure. Fig, ES

6-3 0 explain some oz e imiorovemcnb wince I have made, though it may be that other theories and reasons Will more accurately account for the very noticeable improvement in the reproduction of sound accomplished by the use of my invention.
Whereas I have illustrated and described my improved structure in What I now consider to be a preferred form, together With a possible modification, it is to be understood that many changes and modifications may be made Without, however, departing from the spirit of the invention or the scope of the appended claims,
Having described my invention, What I claim is 1. A turn-table for talking machines comprising the combination with a metallic plate, of a pair of thin Wooden disks mounted on its upper and lower surfaces and in,
intimate contact therewith.
2. A turn-table for talking machines comprising the combination with a metallic disk having aplurality of openings therein of a pair of thin Wooden disks mounted on the upper and lower surfaces thereof, and
a Wooden connector filling said openings and joining the Wooden disks.
.3. A. turn-table for talking machines comprising the combination With a metallic disk having a plurality of openings therein,
of a pair of thin Wooden disks mounted on the upper and lower surfaces thereof, and a composition of comminuted wood with a binder filling said openings and joining the Wooden disks.
4. A turn-table for talking machines comprising the combination With a relatively thick metallic disk having a plurality of openings therein of a pair relatively thin fibrous disks mounted on the upper and lower surfaces hereof, and a composition of fibrous partit es and a binder filling said openings and jonling the fibrous disks.
In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
