The frame as described may be suitably connected with any desired form of handle. and is preferably connected to a handle formed of the same wireof which it is itself constructed. The ends of the wire after 9 are bent in planes of the guard 3 and then upwardly parallel to the fingers 9, thus forming a pair of substantially U-shaped springs 12. The ends of the wire after forming these springs 12 are connected to the wire handle or other handle which may be used.

In the present instance, oneg-end of the wire is extended laterally fronithe frame as shown at 13 and the other" end of the wire is coiled around this portion 13 as shown at 14. In other words, the portion 13 extends along the entire length of the handle within the coils formed by the end 14. This forms a very simple handle, while because of the convolutions the fingersof the user of the safety razor will not slip thereon. y

The blade 1 may be readily placed in the frame or'removed therefrom because of the spring'action of the fingers. Once within the frame, however the blade will be held against accidental shifting and will remain in its curved position which corresponds to the curvature of the guard 33. Because of its extreme simplicity the razor frame and handle constructed as hereinbefore described may be manufactured very cheaply and marketed at a low cost.

I claim I In a device of the class described, a blade frame constructed of a single piece of wire, the intermediate portion of said wire forming a guard, the ends of said Wire being bent inwardly toward each other and then upwardly at right an les to said guard to form a pair of gripping fingers, then downwardly toward said guard to provide an additional pair of gripping fingers for coaction with the first pair, the ends of wire being bent laterally inwardly towar,d each I other and then upwardly away from the guard and substantially parallel to the first mentioned pairs of fingers to form a third pair of gripping fingers then downwardly toward the guard to provide afourth pair of fingers for coaction with the third pair, the ends of the wire being bent laterally away from the last mentioned pair of fingers and then upwardly Substantially parallel thereto to provide a pair of U-shaped springs, a handle connected to the ends of said springs, and a razor blade held in said frame by said gripping fingers.
