To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that we, CHARLES -United States,residing at New York city, in 5 the county of New York and State of New York, haveinvented certain new and useful Improvements in Golf-Clubs, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description,such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same. r This inventionrelates to golf clubs and more particularly to that form" of club known as a putter since it isin connection with such a club that the invention may be used to especial advantage.

As many changes could be made in the above construction and many apparently widely difierentembodiments of this invention could be made without departing from the scope thereof, it isintended that all matter contained in the above description orshown in the accompanying drawings shall be interpreted as illustrative and not in a limiting sense.

Having described our invention, what We claim as new and desire tofsecure by Letters Patent 1s:

1. A device of the character described comprising, in combination, a head, a shaft secured to said head, and. a grip secured to said shaft, said grip compris ng a plurality of tubular members, a constricted pliable portion therebetween, filling members surrounding said constricted portion and a binder around said tubular members and said filling members.

4. A device of the character described comprising, in combination, a head, and a handle associated with said head, the upper partof said handle adjacent the end thereof'being adapted to be bent at will at an angle to the line of the handle.

6. A golf club provided with a head and anon-resilient handle pliable in a direction parallel to said head and relatively rigid in a direction at.right angles to said head.

7. A golf club having a shaft with a head on one end and a handle on the other end angularly adjustable with respect to said shaft in a direction parallel to said head. 8. A handle for a golf club comprising a plurality of tubular members, a constricted portion between said members so formed as to permit relatively easy bendingof said handle in one plane, while preventing bending of said handle in other planes, and filling members adjacent said constricted portion for maintaining the diameter of said handle relatively constant throughout its length.
