Be it known that I, ALBERT HENRY' MIDGLEY, a subject of the King of Great Britain and Ireland, and residing at Warple Way, Acton Vale, in the county of Middlesex, England, have invented certain new and useful Improvementsin and Relating 4 to Lamp-Signaling Arrangements, of which the following is a specification;

This invention relates to lamp-signaling arrangements, more especially for use "on aircraft or for other purposes, the main object of the invention being to provide a very light arrangement of this kind.

Theinvention mainly consists in a lamp signaling arrangementcompri'sing in combination with a revolver-shaped lamp-holder having a handle provided-with a trigger, a

reflector mounted thereon preferably in an adjustable manner, an opaque member provided in front of the lamp and a shutter operated around the lamp by means of said trigger in such a manner that while the shutter is normally kept in sucha position as to prevent the light reaching-the reflector,

when operated by the trigger it is removed from said position in order to allow the light to reach the reflector. 1

The invention also consists in the details of construction hereinafter more P rticularly referred to and specifically claimed.

3. A lamp signaling device comprising in combination a revolver-shaped lamp holder,

a trigger, a reflector and a lamp all mounted on said lamp holder, means for sliding the reflector on the lamp holder, a pivoted hemispherical shutter, means for operating said shutter from said trigger, and an opaque member arranged in front of the lamp, as and for the purpose set forth.

A lamp signaling device comprising in combination a revolver-shaped lamp holder, a trigger, a reflector and a lamp all mounted on said lamp holder, adjustable stops for the trigger, a pivoted hemispherical shutter, means" for operating said shutter from said trigger, and an opaque member arranged in front of the lamp, as and for the purpose set forth.

A lamp signaling device comprising in combination a revolver-shaped lamp holder, a trigger, a reflector, a lamp and a switch all mounted on said lamp holder,- a pivoted hemispherical shutter, means for operating said shutter from said trigger, and an opaque meinber arranged in front of the lamp, as and for the purpose set forth.

A lamp signaling device comprising in combination a revolver-shaped lamp holder, a trigger, a reflector and a lamp all mounted on said lamp holder, a shutter consisting of two parts of a divided hemisphere, pivots for the two parts of said divided hemisphere, a bridge member attached to the lamp holder and carrying said pivots, means for operating said shutter from said trigger, and an opaque member arranged in front of the lamp, as and for the purpose set forth. 1

A lamp signaling device comprising in combination a revolver-shaped lamp holder, a trigger, a reflector and a lamp all mounted on said lamp holder, a shutter consisting of two parts of a divided hemisphere, pivots for the two parts of said divided hemisphere, a bridge member attached to the lamp holder and carrying said pivots, means for operating said shutter from said trigger, a sleeve on the bridge member arranged to surround the lamp, and an opaque member mounted on said sleeve and covering the front of the lamp, as and for the purpose set forth.

8. A lamp signaling device comprising in combination a revolver-shaped lamp holder,

' a trigger, a reflector and a lamp all mounted on said lamp holder, a shutter consisting of two parts of a divided hemisphere, pivots for the two parts of said divided hemisphere, means for operating said shutter from 'sald trigger comprising a sliding rod, a lever, a spring acting on said lever and connecting llIlkS between the lever and the two parts of the shutter, and an opaque member arranged in front of the lamp, as and for the purpose set forth.

A lamp signaling device comprising in combination a revolver-shaped lamp holder, a trigger, a reflector and a lamp all mounted on said lamp holder, a shutter consisting of two parts of a divided hemisphere, pivots for the two parts of said divided hemisphere, means for operating said shutter from said trigger comprising a sliding rod,- a lever, a spring acting on said lever and connecting links between the lever and the two parts of the shutter, an adjustable stop for said lever, and an opaque member arranged in front of the lamp,.as and for the purpose set forth.

10. A lamp signaling device comprising in combination a revolver-shaped lamp holder, a trigger, a reflector and a lamp all mounted on said lamp holder, a pivoted hemispherical shutter, means for operating said shutter from said trigger, an opaque member arranged in front of the lamp, and a sight passing through the reflector in the proximity of the lamp, as and for the purpose set forth.
