To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, GEORGE F. SOi-IORLING, a citizen of the United States,and a resident of Fresno, Fresno county, California, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Cooking Stoves and Ranges, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to cooking stoves and ranges, and its purpose is to provide separate compartments for different temperatures, and to have a circular top which can be readily revolved to bring certain segments of such top over the heating compartment desired. ,To accomplish this purpose I have constructed my stove as hereinafter described.
In the drawings which accompany this specification Figure 1 is a view of the stove looking toward the door of the warming oven. Fig. 2 is a view of a part of the stove having parts cut away to show a sectional view thereof on a line a shown in Figs. 3 and a. Fig. 3 is a view ofthe circular top. Fig. 4 is a view of the stove from above and with the top removed.
A represents the outside shell of the stove, which I have preferably constructed in the form of a perpendicular tube, having a bottom e therein, and being supported by legs 5.

Bearings 1 and s can be constructed as ordinary sliding bearings, or roller or ball bearings. It will thus be seen that the top B can be ro 'tated on the top of the stove so that either the oven 7 can be turned to rest directly over the fire box 9, or over the air space lcfthus permitting the instantaneous regulation of the application of heat to articles being cooked or baked on the stove, and by this construction the entire surface of the top of the stove can be used.
The oven 7 is constructed with double walls a and '0, and the chamber formed be tween such walls 71/ and Q; has openings so the heat and fire from the fire box can pass freely therein. To better accomplish this object I have constructed an auxiliary flue to which connects the chamber formed by walls a and o to the flue d by means of a band or sleeve 2 which is neatly fitted around flue d, and is fastened to auxiliary flue w. I have cut an opening 8 in flue cl at such a point that whenthe top B is turned so the oven is directly over the fire box, auxiliary flue 'w is in direct line with said opening 8, and when top B is turned so the oven is not over the firebox, the auxiliary flue w is closed by being held with 'ring' 2 against the wall of flue (Z.
In my construction I prefer to have a common center for the tubular shell A and partitions m, and to have such partitions extend from partition j approximately to top B. I have also constructed dampers t between chambers 70 and g. Dampers t are adjustable by means of damper rods 25. When it is desired to admit additional heat to air chamber 70, the dampers t and n are opened chamber 70.

In a cooking stove the combination of an upright tubular shell, a bottom to such shell, a rotatable top on such shell adapted to carry cooking vessels, upright partitions dividing a vertical portion of the interior of such shell into segments, a fire box in one of such segments, a covering over the top of the segment not containing such fire box, form ing 7 an air chamber between such covering and the rotatable top, a flue from such covering through the center of such rotatable top,
having openings communicating with such mit the heated air and smoke to pass directly from such fire box to the flue when such damper is open and to retard such passage when such damper is closed, partitions separating such air chamber from such fire box segment having dampers therein adaptedto regulate the passage of hot air from such fire box segmentto such air chamber, a damper between such flue and such air chamber adapted to regulate the passage of hot a1r from such air chamber to such fine and an oven having double walls spaced to form a heating chamber, such oven being disposed on said rotatable top, and having openings through such rotatable top, which communicate with the heating chamberibetween the walls and a lead communicating between such heating chamber and the flue, all substantially as described.
2. In a cooking stove the combination of an upright tubularshell, a bottom to such shell, a rotatable top on such shell, upright partitions dividinga vertical portion of the interior of such shell into segments, a fire box in one of such segments, a covering over the top of the segment not containing such fire box, forming an air chamber between such covering and the rotatable top, a flue from such covering through the center of such rotatable top communicating with such fire box segment and such air chamber, a damper in each of such openings, partitions between such fire box segment and such air chamber extending from such flue a portion of the distance toward the wall of such shell and thence extending rearwardly in such air chamber, forming a passageway between the wall of such shell and such partition from the segment holding the tire box to such air chamber, dampers within such passage way and an oven having double walls spaced to form a heating chamber between them, disposed on the upper side of the rotatable top with openings through such rotatable top into the heating chamber, a circu- ,lar main flue from such stove and in the center thereof, an opening in the wall of such main flue, a collar rotatably disposed around such flue, an auxiliary flue connecting such collar and heating chamber constructed to have the hole in the main flue communicate with a hole in the heating chamber when the oven is over the fire box, and to cut oil such communication when the oven is not over the fire box.
3. In a cooking stove the combination of an upright shell having a bottom and a rotatable top thereon, partitions therein forming separate compartments, a fire box in one of such compartments, a circular flue attached to a nonrotatable portion of such stove and extending through the center of such rotatable top, a warming oven on such rotatable top constructed with double walls, and having an inclosed air chamber between such double walls, a hole in the wall of such flue, a collar adapted to encircle such line and toturn thereon, a passage way between such inclosed air chamber and such collar arranged to register with such hole in the wall of the flue at some point within range of the movement of such rotatable top, all substantially as described.
