SAMPSON P. BOONE, OF AMEBIOUS, GEORGIA.
IMPROVEMENT IN COMMODES AND WASH-STANDS COMBINED.
Specication forming part of Letters Patent No. 118,510, dated August 29, 1871.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, SAMPSON P. BOONE, of Americus, in the county of Sumter and State of Georgia, have invented a neuT and Improved Commode and Wash-Stand; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and eX- act description thereof, Which will enable others skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming part of this specification.
My invention relates to an improved arrange.
- 1s a case fitted to slide into and out of said stand in the manner of a drawer, and adapted for the support of a vessel, D, suitable for the uses of a commode, and provided with a cover, E, to be seated upon any suitable packing that Will make a tight joint, and a spring, F, is to be employed to hold it down. The vessel is intended to be tted to the case O, so that it can be readily taken out for emptying and put back again.
When the case O is shoved in itsI front has the appearance of an ordinary door in the Washstand. The base-piece G is made to draw out With the case for supporting it when sustaining the Weight of the patient. Of course the drawer may be placed in any other part ofthe stand.
Having thus described my invention, 1 claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The case O, sliding in and out ofthe chamber B of Wash-stand A, when combined with the vessel D having spring-cover E F, as and for the purpose specified.
