To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, ALBERT AUGH, a subject of the Emperor of Germany, residing at Stuttgart, Germany, have invented a certain Ball-Game Apparatus, of which the follow- ,ing is a specification.
The present invention relates to a ball game apparatus and consists in the provision of a shank connected to a handle and carrying a ball-ejecting tube, a receiving funnel and a pivoted spring-actuated driver, the arrangement being such that the ball can be shot by means of the driver and then caught in the funnel which returns it to the tube.
In the accompanying drawing the inven tion is illustrated by a view showing the device partly in section and partly in elevation.
A shank a is fitted at one end with a handle g and carries at the other end a ballejecting tube 6 in an oblique position. The lower nozzle of the tube 6 is contracted so as to prevent the'ball d from leaving the tube in this direction. An arm 6, pivoted to the shank a, carries a lug k adapted to enter the lower end of the tube 1) so as to drive the ball out through the opposite end, the arm being for that purpose actuated by a spring f. On the tube 6 an upright funnel c is mounted in which the player should endeavor to catch the ball. This funnel communicates with the tube so that the ball, when caught, returns into position for being shot.
I claim A ball game apparatus, comprising a shank having a handle at its lower end, a ball-ejecting tube mounted on the upper end of the shank in an inclined position, the lower nozzle of said tube being contracted so as to prevent the ball from leaving the tube at this end, a spring-tensioned arm pivoted to the shank, a lug connected to said arm so as to enter the lower nozzle of the tube under the action of its spring and drive the ball out of the tube, and an upright ballreceiving funnel surmounting the tube and communicating with the latter, substantially and for the purpose set forth.
