Theslot 5 inthe form shown is diagonally disposed; with respect to the longitudinal axis-of the shuttle and so sawed as to develop-a curve on the shuttle top. This guide comprises a reversely curved top .bar 7 held in place acrossfthe slot 5 byoa forward downwardly bent end 8 and a rear downwardly bent end 9,5which ends are driven into the wood of the shuttle to hold the guide in proper relation to the slot 5. The forward curved length 10 of the reversely curved bar 7 is offset-laterally from the straight line connecting its ends andis also slightly raised aboye the plane of the threading slot 5. This portion 1O substantially follows that part .of the threading slot 5 which lies directly ybeneath it. The length 10 is con nected with-the forward end 8 by a relatively short Ioppositely curved portion 10 The rear curved length 11 of the reversely curved bar 7 is disposed in a plane slightly below that-of the length 10 and is connected by a downwardly inclined and oppositely curved portion 11 with the rear end 9. The portions 10 and 11 preferably cross the slot 5 at substantially right angles and are disposed in the same general parallel direction. Whatwe therefore claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
