The invention consists in the details of construction and in the combination and ar rangement of the several parts of my improved game apparatus whereby certain important advantages are attained andrthe device is rendered simpler, less expensive and otherwise more convenient and advantageous for use, all as will be hereinafter more fully set forth. v I 1 The novel features of the invention will be carefully defined in the appended claims.

In order tha't'my invention maybe the better understood, I will now proceed to de-- scribe the same with reference to the accompanying drawings, whereinigure 1 is a view in top plan of the device as herein embodied; Fig. 2 is a sectional view taken substantially on the line 2-2 of Fig. 1; and Fig. 3 is a view illustrating the projectiles herein employed.

As disclosed in the accompanying drawings, 1 denotes a base of predetermined dimensions and preferably rectangular in form and having its margins defined by an upstanding fiange 2 and the opposite end portions of the base are provided with the inwardly disposed raised portions 3 substantially semi-circular in form and provided at the transverse center of the base 1 with the longitudinally disposed grooves 4. It is preferred that the raised, portions -10 be substantially V-shape in plan. It is also to be observed that the freeor'inner extremities of the ribs 6 and 7 are pointed so that no material obstruction will be afforded to the entrance of a projectile 8 within the run-ways R afforded between the ribs 6 and the raised portions 3, theribsfi and 7 and the ribs 7 and raised portions 10. a

Each of the run-ways R is provided with the'depressions 11 provided with the valuations 12 and in playing the game, it is intended that each player have a set of five projectiles 8, said sets being differently colored for the purpose of :identity and the pro-" jectiles of each set are provided with differing valuations 12 preferably two and a multiple of two. The projectiles 8 are also preferably spherical. 7

As a projectile 8 is discharged from a groove 4, its course of travel will be deflected by the peg 9 and will have a tendency to enter within one of the run-ways R and should said projectile seat itself within a depression 11 the player will make a score equal to the sum of the valuation 14 of the projectile and the valuation 12 of the de pression in which it is seated. It will be understood however that other rules for governing the score may be created if desired.

From the foregoing description, it is thought to be obvious that a game apparatus constructed in accordance with my invention is of an extremely simple and comparatively inexpensive nature and is particularly well adapted for'use by reason of the facility with which it may be played and the amusement afforded, and it will also be obvious that my invention is susceptible of some change and modification without material departure from the principles and spirit by the discharging grooves.
