To all whom it may concern:
Be it known ject of the King of Great Britain, residing at Stockport, in the county of Chester, England,- have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Paper Twine; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which' it appertains to make and use the the/same.
This invention relates to 'paper twine manufactured from a paper ribbon (or ribbensix which is twisted into twine in a damp or wet state by suitable means and which may ave incorporated in it a hemp or the like t ine.
- The object of the said invention is to improve the appearance and increase the strength of such twine, to allow-ofthe use of weaker paper than hitherto usedv in its manufacture, and to cheapen the means used for the said manufacture.
. Hitheiftvo the paper twine consisted'of a helicallj,v `wound paper ribbon, which in some caseshad a hemp or the like core, or of a paper ribbon twisted with its longitudinal edges curled inwardly, a hemp or the like core being in some cases provided central with the paper ribbon.
