To all whom #may concern:
Be it known that I, ARNOLD P. MASON, of Franklinville, in the county of Oattaraugus and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Check-Rein S wivel;
and Ido hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable Others skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming part of this specification.
This invention relates to a new and useful improvement in mode of adjusting and supporting bridle check-reins; and consists in a movable loop or swivel for the check-rein, connected with a buckle-frame and arranged to operate as hereinafterdescribed.
In the accompanying drawing, Figure 1 is a front view, showing the loop or swivel attached as when in use. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section of Fig. l onthe line x Similar letters ofreference indicate corresponding parts.
A is the loop or check-rein `swivel, which is attached to the end of the buckle B, as seen at C. D is a small plate connecting the two sides of the buckle, on the side ofwhich plate is a small lug or pin, E, immovable on the plate,.but which' acts as the tongue of the common buckle, as it passes through one of the holes in the strap to which it is attached, as seen in Fig. 2.
