IMPROVEMENT IN BARREL-CARS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 115,097, dated May 23,1871.

The nature of this invention relates to the construction of a device on which to place barrels and other like packages; and it consists of a box or frame mounted upon proper trucks, as is more fully hereinafter set forth.
In the drawing, A represents a box or frame, the sides of which are trapezoidal, as is shown in the drawing. In the upper edges of the ends a I form the concaves b,in which the barrel rests. B are axles, finding bearings in the sides of box or frame. Upon these axles and within the box are rigidly secured the wheels 0.
It will be seen that by placing a barrel or a like package upon the top of this car, and putting the faucet in the lower head, a sufli. cient declination is given to the barrel to allow the drawing off of its entire contents. This afiords, also, an easy method of handling packages of liquids, and they can easily be moved from place to place without the labor and time usually expended in such removals.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The construction of a barrel-car, as and for the purpose herein set forth.
