To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, DENIsW. DALEY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Parkersburg, in the county of Wood and State of West Virginia, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Brackets to Support Moldboards'for Concrete Structures; and I do'declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
The invention relates to supports used to retain mold boards in position while concrete structures are being erected; and the object of the invention is to provide a bracket that can be put in place and removed for future use economically. The walls to be built in courses, and the mold boards removed and used over again.
A further object of this "invention resides in providing a novel means for maintaining the brackets in adjusted position, and a still further object is to provide a mold post or standard having means for supporting the latter in vertical position.
Similar figures refer to similar parts throughout the several views.
Figure 1 shows a concrete wall partly erected with the brackets in place ready to receive the mold boards; Fig. 2 shows a concrete wall partly erected with the mold boards in place ready to receive the concrete; Fig. 3 is a side elevation of the bracket; and Fig. 4 is the other side elevation of the bracket.
In its present exemplification my invention comprises the standards 1 preferably formed of metal and provided with longitudinally extending centrally arranged and laterally projecting Webs 1, which are adapted to project into the concrete mixture and assist in holding the standards in vertical position. The standards 1 during the construction of the wall are intended to be located in pairs with the members of each pair arranged in opposite relation with their webs facing. As it has been found advantageous to brace the upper extremities of the standards I employ brace rods 2 which are disposed intermediate the upper ends of the standards as clearly shown in Figs. 1 and 2.
To removably support mold boards 3 in parallel relation on opposite sides of the wall, each of the standards are provided Specification of Letters Patent.

.with series of vertically spaced brackets 4, each bracket having a body section 7 and an offset extension 6 which projects upwardly in plane parallel to that of the body section 7 and cooperates with the latter to form a seat for one of the mold boards tosupport the same edgewise as will be readily understood without further description. Projecting rearwardly from the body section 7 of the bracket contiguous to the upper end thereof, is an arm 8 carrying a right angularly extending stud 9 which projects from the inner surface of said arm. Pivoted at its lower end upon the stud 9 is a cam lever 5 movable vertically to and from the body section 7 of the bracket and adapted to have its lower end frictionally engage the inner surface of the standard and assist in retaining the bracket in its adjusted position. To augment the stability of the bracket 4, the upper extremity of the body section 7 thereof is curved inwardly as at 4 so as to cause the same to grip the outer surface of the standard and consequently eliminate all possibility of the body section 7 slipping after the latter has been brought by the cam lever 5 into proper engagement with the outer surface of the standard.
In the foregoing construction, it will become apparent that when the cam lever 5 is moved outwardly it will cause the upper and lower extremities of the body section 7 of the bracket 4 to be brought into binding contact with the outer surface of the standard, thus firmly and securely maintaining the brackets in position to receive the mold boards and that by releasing the cam lever the brackets may be moved vertically upward upon the standard so that the mold boards may be transferred from the hardened portion of said concrete wall to a higher elevation and used in the further construction of said wall as'will be readily understood without further description.
From the foregoing description, taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, the construction and operation of the invention will be readily understood without requiring a more extended explanation.
Various changes in the forms, proportions and minor details of construction may be resorted to without departing from the principle, or sacrificing any of the advantages of the invention, as defined in the appended claim.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim is In a mold. form of the character described, the combination with a plurality of 0ppositely arranged vertically disposed standards, of a plurality of brackets arranged thereon in vertically spaced relation, each of said brackets including a body portion adapted to be disposed contiguous to the outer surface of said standards, said body portion having its lower end laterally projected and provided with an upwardly ex tending extension which cooperates with said body and produces a seat, mold boards disposed in said seat, said extension having its free end disposed contiguous to the upper end of said body portion whereby the seat produced by said extension will apadapted to be brought into contact with said standard substantially as and for the purpose set forth.
