'.`casings or coverings for boilers and has particular application to a portable boiler casing.
Infcarrying out the present invention, it -is my purpose to provide a boiler casing which may be readily assembled to incase the boiler and conveniently knocked down to facilitate packing and transporta-tion thereof. It is also my purpose to provide a boiler casing or covering which will embody in its construction a number of sections designed tobe arranged edge to edge when assembled and each composed of a pair of plates spaced apart in parallelism, and a filler of heat insulating material interposed between the plates, each section having an open edge and a closed edge, the closed edge being designed to abut `he open edge of an adjacent section so that the filler contained in each section will act `to effectively seal the joint between the sections thereby preventing the escape of heat .from the boiler.
