This invention relates to an improved alarm device of the portable type, and more particularly to a device which is self-contamed and which may be easily applied to doors, windows and tools or The principal object of provide an improved device of the character mentioned which will be light in weight, positive in operation, and easy to place in position. Many other uses and advantages will be readily apparent from a perusal of the attached specification wherein it will be seen that my invention consists in the novel arrangements and combinations of parts as fully explained and illustrated in the attached drawings, and as more specifically pointed out in the appended claims.
Referring to the drawings :Figure 1 is a view in elevation of my improved device showing a single contact device attached thereto. Fig. 2 is a view in section through the bell and battery case. Fig. 3 is a view in plan of the battery case with the top portion thereof removed. Fig. 4 is aview in side elevation of the contact device.
Referring to the same parts in the several views by the corresponding numerals of reference, 1 denotes a case having mounted therein a source of electrical current 2, and on the outside thereof a bell or buzzer 3. This case, battery and bell may be any desired shape, size and type, but it is desirable to keep the same as compact as possible. Mounted on the outside of this case are contact plates 4 and 5 eachhaving a series of holes 6 adapted to receive contact plugs. In use the ends-of spring arms 16 are pressed together and inserted between a door and the jamb as at 23 between a window and the sill, under a box lid, or any other convenient place. What I claim and desire to-secure by Letters Patent is "1. In a circuit closer for burglar alarms comprising an insulating base, three conducting strips extending from said base, one of said extensions having angular bent ends adapted to embrace the other two members, said two members being of resilient material and adapted to be bent toward each other and have their ends inserted between two 7 from opposite faces of said base, the ends of said strips being adapted to be inserted between two relatively movable members, a third conducting strip extending from said base in a plane at right angles to said resilient strips, a T-shaped end on said third conductor, angular bent ends on each branch of said T-shaped end adapted to contact with said resilient conducting strips when the latter are released from the relatively movable members, and a plurality of binding posts, one connecting said resilient strip with a source of electrical current and one. connecting said T-shaped strip with an alarm derace.
