Some of the objects of this invention are.

to provide a caddy bag having a novel bottom construction, a novel top construction,

a novel handle, and constructed and arf ranged to have not only great strength and durability, but 'also present a neat and pleasing appearance.

Another' object is -to provide a novel and convenientcompartiment adapted to receive eo the golf balls.

Referring to the accompanying drawing, 10 designates the body which is preferably formed of canvas or the like, stitched togethcr to form an elongated tubular struc-- Strips 11, l2 and 13, preferably ot leather', are'stitehed to and extend along the body. leather band 16 extends around and is stitched to the body und to the turned over edging so as to cover up the turned over portion of this edging and the ends of the 50 stays. This forms an upper edge having not only the required strength and rigidity, but also presenting a pleasing appearance.

The lower end of the body has a leather edging 19 which is turned outwardly over .55 a ring dand secured by a line of stitches as the top edging,` and the stays 'i7 extra'ul down nearly lto the bottom ring 20 and are secured by rivets 2l passing through the edging, stays, body and strips.4 A wide .leather band 22 is stitched to the body covers and the turned over portion of the cdging 19. The stays 17 extend in and along the pockets formed by the strips, and outside of the body 10 above the top of the band 22; the body 10 is however, slit transversely at the top edge of the baud 22, and the stays extend downwardly along the body inside of thc body from this point. 'This construction permits the line of stitching at the top of the band 22 to pass through the strips 11 and l2 so as to ,make a tight seam and fit at this point, thereby ell'ectually preventing entrance of grass and dirt as the bag is dredged over the ground. It will be understood that this seam is made before the stays are inserted. The bottoni consists oi? a `flanged leather dish 23 secured in position by a line of stitches passing through the iiange, the edging 19, the body 1() and the band 22.

The bag has a false bottom comprisin a flanged leather disk 21 secured inposition by a line oi stitches passing through the flange, body and band Q2. This lornis a bottom compartment, and this bottom compartment has a side aperture closed by a flap 26 stitched at one end to the band 22 and provided at the other end with n tongue engaging a buckle 2T on the band. The

compartment is adapted to receive a number oi geht` balls, which can be inserted and removed through the aperture 25, thc bottom of which is liush with the bottom 23.

A strap QR having a buckle 29 is provirhfd to clamp the golf clubs in position in the bag. A carrying strap 30 is sccuriul at its upper end to the upper end of the baue; while its lower end engages a buckle ill on the strip 18.
