To all whom t may concern Be it kno-wn that I, J oHN J. VALKowo,
y citizen of the United States, residing at Detroit, in the county of Wayne and State of Michigan, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Fountain- Pen Points, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates toimprovements in fountain pens, and has forqone of its objects `l to provide a simply constructed attachment which may be applied to a pen point, and
whereby a reservoir of inlis furnished and arranged in position to feed automatically to the pen point as fast as required.
Another object of the invention is to provide a simply constructed devicewhereby the ink is uniformly distributed.v and guided to the writing end of the` pen, and prevented from flooding the pen point.
Vith these and other objects in view the invention consists in certain novel features of construction as hereafter shown and described and then specifically pointed out in the claims. y

The improved device may be applied to any of the various forms of pen points, but
y for the `purpose of illustration is shown applied to a conventional pen` point represented at 10 with the longitudinal split in its nib end as shown at 11 and an aperture at l2 at the inner end of the split.
In the improved pen point a hollow channel is formed at the inner end of the aperture l2 and extending longitudinally of the body of the pen point for a short distance. Attached to the `back of thepen point at the upper end of the channel lfis a small ink receptacle, represented as awhole at 14, and preferably converging at `the lower end as represented at 15. At the terminal of the converging portion 15 a relatively small oriflce 17 is ormed whichlis located above the Copies of this patent may be olitained for veys` the ink to the channel and thence through the opening l2 to the under side of` the writinor end of the pen.

Having thus described` the invention what is claimed as new is: 1. A split l nib pen point including` an aperture at the inner end of the split with a longitudinally directed channel communicating-with the aperture, and an ink reservoir carried by the pen point and having 3a discharge orifice communicating with t the channel. n

A split nib pen point including an aper` ture `at the inner end of the split and a lon` gitudinally directed channel communicating with the aperture, andan ink `reservoir carried by the pen point and converging at one end and having a discharge `orifice at the converging end `communicating with the` channel.
