The chamber B has an end wall N in contact with the wall N and a hori- G and M.
The operation of my furnace will. be readily understood and is as follows z The combustion of the fuel within the fire chamher will be expedited by the blast of air in troduced through the pipes. E and the greater part" ofthe gas in the fire chamber will pass over the bridge wall F into the working chamber B. A separate blast will be supplied to the chamber Gr through the pipes G and which passes through the spaces intermediate the brick G where it becomes I preheated before entering the pipes H,'H and into the passageways J. The blast passing from the pipes H, H into said passage ways will create a suction which will draw ,zontal partition N separating the chambers 1 a certain percentage of the gas from the fire chamber through the ports "L inthe a wall of the fire chamber and which will heat the air in the chamber M about the pipes H,
thus further-preheating the air which passes through the pipes H and before itmakes exit into the passageways J. As the gases emerge from the pipes H andfoommingle with thegases coming from thechamber M,
they will be mixed and make exit through a the ,ducts K into the working chamber.
After the furnace is in operation, the 'brick i work becomes "thoroughly heated and the wall N, being next to the intense heat of the fire chamber, becomes redhotthrough and through and this heat is still further taken up by the checkers G pipes G, before entering the pipes P, is pre- "heated' by coming in contact with the check erwork. s
