HoBnRG, a citizen of the United States, residing at Green Bay, county of Brown, and State of Wisconsin, have invented new and useful Improvements in Toilet-Paper Rolls, of which the following is'a specification.

- My invention relates to improvementsin toilet paper rolls and is a division of a former application filed by me February 10, 1908, Serial Number 415,702, for improvements in toilet paper holders and packages.

The object of my invention is to provide a form of toilet paper package, which is adapted to be used in a fixture of the type shown in my former application, wherein the package is supported by an interior delivery device and the sheets removed therefrom, one by one from the interior, the body of the package being retained in position by an exterior band or wrapper and a retaining member passed through the lower end portion-of the wrapper and package.

In the following description, reference is had to the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a front view of a package of toilet paper embodying my invention and showing one of the sheets partially removed. Fig. 2 is a side view of the package showing the same as it is applied to a fixture of the type illustrated in my former application, a portion of the casing being illustrated in section.

The package A is composed of a series of independent sheets of paper, preferably rectangular in form, and of a length to permit a folding of the package at the transverse median line. The sheets are preferably of the same length and therefore, when the package is folded in this manner, the ends of the inner sheets at 01-60 will project beyond thoseof the outer sheets, this end of the package presenting a wedge shaped surface along which the end margins of the successive sheets are progressively exposed as indicated in the drawings. The package, in this position, is inclosed by a band or wrapper B, of any Suitable Serial No. 492,271.

The lower end of the wrapper, viz :-that portion which extends over and beyond the wedge shaped portion of the package where the ends of the sheets are successively exposed, is provided with a perforation or aperture C, which receives a transverse stay or holding arm D connected with the fixture when the package is inserted therein. This perforation or aperture may extend through a portion of the package if desired. The wrapper may consist of any suitable material.

it is not essential that it be glued to the exposed ends of the sheets as above stated, but this is preferred, as it tends to detain the remaining sheets sufficiently to prevent them from following the withdrawing sheets too readily.

My invention differs from all packages of which I am aware, in the fact that the withdrawal of a sheet is accomplished from the interior, that it does not release the next sheet, and that the wrapper remains intact during the withdrawal of the sheets and retains the package in position on the fixture until the supply of sheets is exhausted. The outer sheet of tissue paper being preferably glued'to the wrapper continuously along its outer surface, may of course be regarded as a portion of the wrapper itself.
