I In ope'rationya suitable quantityof hydro-- I 'c'arhonxis placed withinthe panand ignited pipes 5, 6, 7 and 8 with the result that the ecome thoroughly heated. Thehyd'rocarbon becoming'heated partially vaporizes and when emitted from the openings in the caps" 16 on the burner pipes 14: is in the form of a gaseous vapor. The burner pipes l t-may be cleaned by removing the caps 15 and 16 at the ends thereof. a In practice, the pan 19 is placed upon a table or like support and in combination with the legs 17 serves to support the burner in a reliable manner. a
' The pipes 5, 6; 7, 8 and feed pipe 1 take up partially the space within the pan and it'will be readily seen that when the hydrocarbon is ignited in the pan, the-pipes will become heated in an expeditious manner.
The hydrocarbon in being applied to the inexpensive device that may be readily as- .sembled and disassembled by reason of thei factof the number of couplings and other a detachable connections described previously. 1
The device is of a compact nature and is simple as to construction.
It will be readily seen that a reliable heating may be provided at a very low fuel consumption. I
What is claimed is An oil burner comprising a feed ipe, a plurality of parallel spaced and horizontal inner and outer pipes connected with the feed pipe and arranged on opposite sides thereof, relatively enlarged pipes arranged in parallel relation to each other and the inner and outer pipes and above the inner and outer pipes, couplings connecting the enlarged and inner and outer pipes, burner pipes operatively connected with the enlarged pipes, and a rectangular pan to receive a suitable amount of hydrocarbon to be burned and having the inner and outer pipes mounted therein, said pan being suspended from the enlarged pipes.
In testimony whereof I afiix my signature in presence of two Witnesses.
