Specification of Letters latent.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EMIL ARTHUR Sono- RIG, a subject of the Emperor of Germany, residing at Grossrohrsdorf, Saxony, Germany, have invented certain Improvements in Heddles, of which the following is a specification.
The present invention relates to heddles particularly for use in weaving endless bands, its object being to produce heddles which can be easily applied to and removed from the endless warp.
The invention consists in the provision of j two superposed strips having open-ended 15 slots extending through little more than half the strip length. These strips areplacedso that the slots run in opposite directions and form, at the inner end of the s1ots, an eye for the reception of they warp thread. The portions of the stripswhich'form the eye are depressed in opposite directions so that the strips can be held in the' same plane as the thread. i
Inthe accompanying drawings the invention is illustrated, Figure 1 representing a side view of one of the strips, Fig. 2, a front view of the two strips arranged in .juxt'aposition, Fig. 3, a front view of the joined strips as applied to the warp thread and Fig. 4, a side view of Fig. 3. I
The heddle is composed of two superposed strips 1 each of which has an open-ended longitudinal slot 2 carried through a little I more than half its length. The strips are site directions and forminthe middle of the strips an eye The 'portions 8 and 4 of placed together so ithatithe slots run in. oppos Patented Septil, 1914. The heddles thus formed are fitted in the A heddle composed of two superposed strips, each strip having a longitudinal openended slot carried through a little [more than half the strip ,length,. the strips being pressed in opposite directions, so'.thatthe I .45] usual manner in a common heddle frame be tween spacing elements which hold the two placed together so thatthe'slots run in-op-g I posite directions and form an eye'in the mid-u dle of the strip for the rece ptio'n'of the warp thread, the portions forming, such eye being depressed in oppositedirections so that the.
