Be it known that l, FRInDnrcH ALBIN Soni-mz, a resident of the city of Dresden, in the `Empire of Germany, and a subject of the King of Saxony, have invented certain new and useful improvements in or Relating to Apparatus for Demonstrating @cular Fluorescence, of which the folloW- ing' is a speciication.
It has been proved t-hat the known fluorescence of the human eye is produced by daylight.
The present application relates to an apparatus by means of Which it is possible to observe the fluorescence of ones own eye.
The apparatus is chiefly intended for teaching purposes, that is to say, forms a medium for teaching.
A construction of the apparatus is shown in the accompanying drawing in whichv Figure l is a vertical longitudinal section, and Fig. 2 a horizontal cross section.
It chiefly consists ofa box forming a dark chamber, the inner Walls of which are kept black. Inside one Wall a of the said box is arranged a mirror Z). On the opposite side, the box is opened, and the upper and bottom Walls c and d are provided With such recesses e and f that, on the box being brought against the face of the user in the manner shown in Fig. l, as perfect closing as regards light is obtained as possible. In order to improve-this action, the edges of the recesses are provided With plush strips g which enable a tight closing to be obtained.
