To all whom it may concern Be it known that we, Josnr Ell-icons, a subject of the King of Prussia, and resident of Buisdorf, near 'Cologne-on-the-Rhine, Germany,- and Auoosr Nansen, a subject of the King of Prussia, and resident of Siegburg, near Cologne, German Empire, have ointly invented anew and useful Cutting Device for Printing-Machines, of which the follou whereb when the printing cylinder is exchange the length of sheet cutby the cutting mechanism will be varied to correspond to the size of the particular printing' cylinder in use without necessitating any other variation than that of exchanging the printing cylinders.
In carrying outthe invention the rotatable cutter is geared up to the printing cylinder in such a manner asto be'driven therefrom at the same angular velocity as the printing cylinder. By this means it follows that when theprinting cylinder is exchanged, say, for example, for a cylinder of larger'diameter, the Web of paperwill be traversed at a greater speed and will consequently be fed past the rotary cutter greater'speed. In a rotary printing machine for printing on aZWeb of paper supplied from a supply roll, the combination with an exehangeable printing cylinder and an impression cylinder friotionally driven the one from the other; of a rotary cutter for cutting the printed web into sheets of a length corresponding to'the size of printing cylinder and means for driving the rotatable cutter from said printing cylinder at the same angular velocity the printing cylinder, whereby, when the printing cylinder is exchanged and without necessitating any tinge in gearing, the length of sheet cut by 'said cutter will be automatically and correspondingly varied.
2. In a rotary printing machine for printing on a web of paper supplied from a suping machine adapted to print on one or both able 'printing cylinder and an impression ieylinder frictionally driven the one from ;-the other'yof a rotary cutter for cutting the printed web into sheets of a length oorre-- sponding to the size of printing cylinder,-

3. In a pri'nting machine for printing on a web of paper supplied from a supply roll, the combination with a guide roller and a printing roller for printing one side of the paper, of-tension rollers, a table over which the paper passes from the tension rollers,
an endless conveyer, means coacting with the table for cutting the paperinto sheets and delivering said sheets directly onto the conveyer, and a second printing roller onto which the sheet of paper is delivered from said conveyer for printing its other side.
4. In a rotary pr nting machine for printing on one side of a web of paper supplied from a supply roll, the combination with. an exchangeable printing cylinder and an imression cylinder frictionally driven the one rom the other; of a rotary cutter for cutting the printed web into sheets of a length corresponding to the size of printing cylinder, means for driving the rotatable cutter from said cylinders at the same angular velocity the printing cylinder, whereby, when the printing cylinder is exchanged, the length of sheet out by said cutter will be automatically and correspondingly varied, a conveyor to which the sheets are supplied, a second printing cylinder to which the sheets are delivered from said conveyer for printing the other side thereof, and mechanism for rotating said second printing cylinder from the first mentioned printing cylinder.
