Apparatus of the character described, comprising a swinging boom, a bucket mounted for travel on said boom, a movable bucket holder at the base of the boom, the bucket being movable into and out of the holder and also movable therewith, and a .receptacle arranged to discharge into the bucket when the latter is moved with the carrier into proper relation to the receptacle; substantially as described.
