Be it known that I, JOHANN G. PETERSON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Jersey City, in the county of Hudson and .State oit N ew Jersey, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Separable Attachinentsllugs, of which the following is a specification.

'his invention relates to separable attachnient plugs, among the principal objects of the invention being the provision of an ar ticle of this character which is simple in con struction, which can be readily and inexpenandwherein the parts of the loody are rigidly and substantially held in proper position.`

In the drawings accompanying and forining part .of the present specification, I have shown in detail one of the several convenient forms of embodiment of the invention, which to enable those skilled in the art to practise the same will be set forth fully in the following description. The plug comprises in its make-up a` body as 2 and a separable member or cap as 3. The central or end contact or disk 13 has an approximately L-shaped extensonleldisposed in a notch 15 in said section 7, the outer branch of said extension 14 resting against 80 the'top of said notch or slot 15. Owing to the fact that said extension lits comparatively closely in said slot lateral motion of said extension is prevented, and it also follo-ws that rotation of the central contact or disk 13 cannot occur.

There are two spring fingers as 16 and 17 situated in longitudinally extending passages 18 and 19 in the section 6. The spring fingers 16 and 17 have outwardly extending bases or feet 20 provided with laterally disposed lugs or ears 21 litted in recesses or' seats 22 in the section 6 near the lower ends of the passages 18 and 19, the lugs or ears 21 being firmly held in the recesses or seats 22 95 by the section 7; in other words the bases or feet 2U are clamped substantially between the sections of the base, thereby taking oil" some of the strain from the screws 23 and 24. The screw 23 extends through the flange 12 100 of the Contact shell and is tapped into the foot or case of the spring 16, thus electrically connecting said linger or spring 1,6 with the contact shell 5.
