To all fio/mm it may concern Be it known that I, F RANK D. BRYAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Middletown, in the county of Dauphin, State of Pennsylvania, have invent-ed certain new and useful Improvements in of' the invention, such as will enable others skilled ln the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
This-'invention relates to improvements in electrical fuses;
The'principalobject of the invent-ion is to provide a simple device of this character "wherein the fuse strips can be replaced.

" Referring particularly to the accompany- .ing drawings, 10 represents a hollow open endedtube of insulated material at each end of'which are`formed diametrically opposite threaded holes 1l. Embracing each end of `the tubeV is a sleeve 12, this sleeve carrying a pair of screws 134-for engagement in the openings 11 to hold the sleeve to the tube. The sleeve is bent on itself atA the outer end as indicated at 14. At two diametrically opposite points, the doubled end is extended inwardly as indicated at 15 to form ears. Each of these ears is formed with a thrcaded opening 16. A disk 17 is disposed within the doubled end of the sleeve and has at two diametrically opposite points the lugs 18 which fit within the spaces of the doubled portion. The fuses 19 have their opposite ends bent at right angles and'bifurcated as indicated at 20, these ends being engaged on the ears 15 and straddling the screws 21 carried by the disk 1'7. These ears 23 are for engagement with thel usual binding screws, as will be readily understood. It will be understoodthat by4 loosening the screws 21 and removing the disks 17, that the fuse strips 19 may be quickly withdrawn, as there will be no ob'- struction or lateral projection'on the inner broken ends of the'strips to prevent easy withdrawal thereof.
What is claimed is In a fuse holder, an insulated tube, a sleeve detachably secured .on each end of the tube and embracing said tube, thefouter end portion of each of the sleeves projecting beyond the end of the tube and having portions arranged at diametrically opposite points bent. inwardly and transversely to form ears which engage the ends of the tube, said bent portions leaving diametricallyopposite openings in the projecting port-ions of the sleeves, fuse strips having-openings formed centrally therethrough approxilatented Apr. 7, 1914.,
