EDWARD TELLESON, OF BINGI-IAMTON, NEW YORK.
SYRINGE-TANK.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EDWARD TELLnsoN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Binghamton, in the county of Broome and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Syringe- Tanks, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to syringe tanks in which a fabric covered metallic body adapted to be filled with liquid has a nozzle connection with a fountain syringe tube and it has for its object a light cheap portable tank for holding liquid, adapted to be hung on the wall or placed against the body, and for having a tubular connection with a syringe and for applying the liquid to the body for body use and application.
With these objects in view my invention consists in certain novel features of construction and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter fully described and pointed out in the claim, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a front view partly in section of my device. Fig. 2 is a perspective view of a part of my device. F ig. 3 is a side view of my device. Fig. 4 is a perspective view of a modified form of my device.
The same reference characters denote like parts in each of the several figures of the drawings.
In carrying out my invention I provide a body portion A preferably in the form of a disk or oblate spheroid, as shown in Figs. 1 and 3, in the top of which I have inserted an opening or mouth B provided with the stopper C. In the lower body portion of A I provide the outlet tube D adapted to receive over the end of it a rubber syringe tube E, which outlet has upon it the nozzle F. Over the body portion A I place a fabric cover G for a general cover to the body. To further add to the flexible nature of the Specification of Letters Patent.

covering, I have placed about it the felt covering H. On the body portion A I mount the hanger I.
This invention is designed to overcome serious defects and objections existing in fountain syringes in general use, one of which is that the present constructions are not easily supported for the purpose of filling and emptying and the other being that the bag of the syringe becomes weak from the pressure of the water, resulting in the tearing of the seams and rendering the syringe practically worthless. By reason of my construction a handy means is provided for suspending the syringe and a band passes around the syringe and forms a strengthening or reinforce for the bag at exactly the location where the pressure of the water results in tearing the seam. Thus my improvements overcome these defects and insure a more desirable article of this character and greatly increase the wear or life of the syringe.
Having thus described my invention what I claim as new and for which I desire Letters Patent, is as follows:
The fountain syringe herein shown and described consisting of a metal body having a large filling spout and a small outlet, a nozzle fitting in said outlet, a fabric covering over the entire body, a band passing centrally around the body and projecting therefrom to form a protector for said body and an arm retained between the body and band and having at its upper end an opening for hanging the syringe in a vertical position.
In testimony whereof I have aflixed my signature, in presence of two witnesses.
EDWARD TELLEsoN.
