Be. it knovvuthat-I, WILLIAM GLASS, ot'.l?-rooky lyn, in the county of .Kings4 and State of New' York, have invented a new and valuable Improve-4 ment in 'Sliding-Valves; and'Ido herebydceia-re that the vfollowing is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and `operation' of the-same,
reference being had to the annexed drawing making al part of this specification, and to the letters and figures of reference marked thereon.

In the operation of my invention it will appear that.
