In the accompanying'drawing illustrating the preferred embodiment of my invention, wherein it will be understood that various changes or modifications may be made as relates to the detailed construction and arrangement of the parts without departing from the spirit of my invention-Figure 1 is a front elevation of the device. Fig. 2 is a sectional elevation thereof. .Fi 3 is a horizontal section of the same. Fig.4 is a fragmentary View in side elevation of the hennery. Fig. 5 is a transverse section through one of the nests.
In carrying out my invention, I erect a suitable inclosure or house 1 for the fowls, the same being preferably rectangular in general c'onstruction, with the roof properly pitched for suitably the water, which roof is of any suitable water-proof material, as sheet iron or the like. Suitable doors or closures 2 are hinged to swing'laterally thereon with their meeting edges resting when the doors are closed It will be noted that the bottom edges of the doors 2 are removed a short distance from the corresponding edge of the doorway, or threshold, to form or leave an openin 12 at that point for aiding ventilation as will be readily appreciated; also through this opening sedimentary matter including may be suitably re moved. Regarding this latter, however, facilities are provided for the reception .of such. accumulations as they are removed from the hennery which will be described hereinafter.
The inclosure or house is provided with a relatively thick floor or bottom 3, preferably of tiling, brick or concrete, or other materia of a moisture proof nature for the comfort the fowl droppings.

The upper front portion of the hennery or house is of suitably meshed wire-netting 7 to aid in preducing a1rcirculation or ventilation as wellas to admit light and sunshine as will bejreadily understood. Also in the lateral wallslof the hennery or house, near thebotto'miandat the front thereof, are provided openings or wickets 9, suitable for the chickens or fowls to pass in and out. Also in one side of the hennery or house is provided a suitable door Way and its closure 10, as an entrance or means of access by a person thereto.
' The doors" 2 are spaced above the bottom to provide a cleanout opening extending from side to side, the bottom extending beyond the doors, and an angle iron member 11 having one flange secured to the lower face of the bottom along its front edge flush with the lower face of the bottom, andhaving its other flange STJQLCQdflUIH and forming an'open ended trough with the forward edge of the bottom to readily receive the droppings of the chickens or fowls or other sedimentary accumulations as the same are swept or removed from the hennery, out through the door way at thelfront thereof. The edge of the upright flange of the angle iron member 11 lies in 'theplane of the upper face of the bottom.
Suitable nests 11 are provided within the hennery or house for the chickens or fowls to occupy for laying or setting purposes will be readily appreciated. contrived each of suitable wire-netting or fabric preferably in receptacle like formation, the thus formed wire receptacles being secured llrpOSltlOll either by nailingor scouring to the floor or bottom of the h'eimery orrby suitably supporting the same in elevated position upon bent or rightangled *ods or brackets 14 secured to said bottom also to the walls of the hennery or house, as clearly seen in 1., 2 and Suitable roosts 15 and 16 are also provided. for fowls or chickens, the roost 15 being preferably in ladder-form and disposed diagonally within the hennery or house, its ends being suitably secured, in any preferable way to the inner surface of one side thereof and to These nests are Patented Mar. 3, 1914:.
