COMPOUND FOR DECORATING MIRRORS, WINDOWS, AND THE LIKE.

To all "whom it may concern Be it known that I, EDWARD LEIMBERGER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Niles, in the county of Berrien and State of Michigan, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Compounds for Decorating Mirrors, Windows, and the like, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to a compound for decorating mirrors, windows and the like, and especially for painting temporary signs thereon, and has for its object the provision of a compound that is easily applied and that is provided with ingredients to prevent the decorations from being soiled by insects, flies, etc.
My compound consists of the following ingredients mixed in the proportions stated, viz: 1 pound of whiting, g teaspoonful ordinary washing blue, teaspoonful powdered camphor and teaspoonful white pepper. This preparation is thoroughly mixed and 4 sold in a powdered form and is applied by dipping a wet sponge into the compound and applying it to the window by means of a stencil. The whiting when dried makes a Specification of Letters Patent.

decoration that is essentially white changed slightly to gray by the bluing forming a part of the compound, while the powdered camphor and white pepper serve to prevent flies and other insects lighting upon the decorations and spoiling them.
It will be apparent that my improved compound is particularly adapted to treating mirrors in drug stores, bar rooms, and the like, and also for decorating show windows.
Having thus described my invention what I claim is The herein described powdered compound, consisting of whiting, powdered washing blue, powdered camphor, and white pepper, mixed together and adapted to be applied to a mirror by dipping a wet sponge into the compound and used as a stencil material for applying designs to mirrors.
