Be it known that I, WILLIAM P. RAY, a' citizen of the United States, residing at Stithton, in the county of Hardin a-'nd State of Kentucky, have invented a 'new and use ful'Re'el, of which the following asp'ec'lfica-tion. v 1 The present invention relates to i rovefments in reels, the primaryobjject of t e' in vention bein'g the. provision of a'n adjustable reel for use in connection with supporting and di'splayingeoils of rope or Wire and the like, the same being provided with an' adjustable spacing member'slidabifv mounted upon` the spindle of the reel relatively to each other and carrying coil engaging" members to wedge the coil in the proper relation betweenthe adjustable lhenfibels.

A further object of the present inventipn is the provision of adjustable coil'core en'- gaging members carried bv the respective end members of the reel so that various sized cores may be fitted or engaged to properly hold the coil of rope or wire upon the reel in 35 the desired compressed position.

With the foregoing and other objects in View whichiwill appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in the combination and arrangement of parts and in the details of construction hereinafter described 'and claimed,- it being understood that changes in the precise embodiment of the invention herein disclosed canbe made within the scope of what is claimed Without departing from the spirit of the invention.
