The notch'2 fi and the airs of flanges 'Q'fi'zind 25 on the opposite si es of the body structn-re provide. a substantial supportfor the tooth with respect to its-digging. opera! tions.
' In view, therefore, of the supporting means indlcated there isrequired -ver little-additional means to secureeach tooin'plaoe, as com ared with structures of this 1}. pin pass'in through the dipper front andthrough one nger 22-of the tooth.-. The bolt 1 27 is shown provided with a' nut-28 to hold it in place. The dipper front and the body or pin may bexsec'ured -in it's place fromeither the inside orthe outside-of the dip- ,per. This 'b0'lt serves to retain the tooth in place as indicated in Fig; 3. When, how. ever, it is required to renewa tooth, all'that ,isnecessary' is to remove. the bolt and slip the tooth out of place, when a new toot may be inserted and secured as -befcre,- a process requiring but'a small fraction of the amount of time 'usuallyvspent in removing teeth in dippers where ignany rivets or the like are used to secure the teeth in place.
Having thus described my invention, I

1. The herein described dipper comprising a body having an edge notch and pairs of undercut flanges formed integrally on the inside and outside ofthe body structure, a-
its cutting edge with a series of notches and pairs of undercut integrahfianges adjacent said notches on the mside and outside th ereof, a series of detachable teeth, each teeth 1 adapted to be seated in a notch havingm' pair of fingers and embraced by said pairs transverse connecting rib servlng as an abutment for one of the fingers, and a single removable'member cooperating with the other finger and said body front serv'ing-topreof flanges, one pair of flanges having a vent outward longitudinal displacement of,
such tooth.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name-to this specification in the-presence of two subscribing witnesses.
