PROCESS OF PRODUCING A FIREPROOF AND ELASTIC MATERIAL.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Nmo MAGELSSEN, a subject of the King of Norway, residing at Christiania, Norway, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in the Process of Producing a Fireproof and Elastic Material; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to compositions of materials and has for its object a process of producing a fireproof material, which is elastic and able to resist the action of water and acids, and which may be employed for providing various objects made for instance of wood, metals, burnt clay, cement, plaster of Paris, with a protective covering.
The main components from which the matterial is produced are carbonate of lime,
waten-glass and asbestos.

As the covering is in itself hard and elastic the objects which are provided with this covering may be very thin and it is also possible to produce objects of various shapes from a'composi tion as that above described ,without the use of other materials.
