IMPROVED MUSIC-STAND.

It consists in an extension-staff, provided with socket cap for a candle or lamp, and with adjustable arms witlnsprings attached thereto for holding the sheet or sheets, arranged and operating as hereinafter more fully described.

The cap turns readily on the top of the staff, so
that the arms and sheet or paper thereon may be ad-- justed laterally as well as vertically, without moving the staff.
The advantages of this mode of constructing portable stands for. musical performers and other purposes must be obvious to all.
Having thus described my invention,
I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent-- The extension or sectional staff A, socket cap D, candle socket E, and adjustable arms I J', arranged to operate substantially as and for the purposes herein shown and described.
