Be it known tint l, Bronnen. Hmsfr, n citizen ot the United. States, residing in lhiledel his, Pennsylvanie have invented certain mprovements in `Woven Pile Febrics, of which the following is s. specification.

My invention consists of a. novel form of woven pile fabric intended mainly for carpets, rugs or upholstery purposes, and havmg on one fece o cut pile and on the other ieee en uncut ile, either oi? which faces may be exposed as esired in the use of the fabric.

The sbric is composed of four sets of threads ond two sets o weft threads. The Werp thresds comprise tbe pile-forming serp l, s etudier Warp 2 ond two sets or binder wsrps 3 end s, sind the weft threads comprise on up er or top set 5 sind e lower or heck set 6. Fobric woven in eccordsnce with my in vention is very flexible but hss no tendency to curl.

l' claim:-

1. A woven pile fabric boiling s out pile on one fece en un uncut pile on the oplet site fece both formed by the some pile Werp thresds, in combination with upper ond .lower like sets of weit threads, the pile forming worp threads guessing between successive Werft threads of the upper set ond being looped around the corresponding Weit threads o the lower set, whereby the rows of pile cre disposed. closely together on both feces of the fabric.

2. A woven pile fabric having s patterned cut pile on one foce end o stterned uncut pile on the opposite fece bot i formed by the seme party-colored pile wor threads, in combination with upper and ower like sets of weft threads, sind pile forming worp threads passing between successive weft threads oi' the upper set sind being looped around the corresponding weft threads oi the lower set whereby the rows of ile nro disposed closci together on both 'aces or the ebric en e corresponding1 pattern is produced on each rece of the fabric.
