This invention relates to window. shade and curtain fixtures and has for its object to provide a device of this character which may be easily and quickly adjusted for application to windows of various widths.

Another and more specific object of the inventio resides in the provision of two fixture applied thereto.

lVith the above and other objects in View as will become apparent as the description proceeds, the invention consists in certain constructions, combinations and arrangements of the parts that I shall hereinafter fully describe and claim.

The head of this screw isadapted to frictionally bear against the outer face of the body plate of the fixture to rigidly retain the plate in its adjusted position. It will be observed that by means of this improved mounting of the fixture members upon the frame, they may be very quickly removed by simply loosening the screws 22 slightly and forcing said members inwardly upon each other until the shanks of the screws are disposed in the downwardly extending portions 20 of the slots 19., The fixture members are then lifted slightly so that the heads of the screws may pass through the enlarged ends 21 of the slots when the members are moved outwardly fromthe face of the window frame.

As the fixture members are entirely formed from metal it may be readily stamped out at a single operation, it Will be obvious that the cost of manufacture of the device is reduced to a minimum.

It will be understood that I am not lim ited in putting the invention into practice to the specific forms of the shade roller and curtain pole supporting brackets shown in the drawings, but that any desired form of bracket may be used. The invention is also susceptible of a great many minor modifications in the fornn-prportions alidarrangcment of the various elements Without departing from the essential features or sacrificing any of the advantages thereof.

Having thus described the invention what isclaimed is:

1.
