The invention "consists of a cufi-blotter, made from any kind of blotting-paper or material, which is designed to pass over the hand, and cover the inside of the upper. or'fl'eshy part,which forms a soft, flexible pad upon the inner surface of the blotter.

'lhe cuii blottefl will he composed of one, two, or

more thicknesses of blotting materiai, and may be lined with any flexible fabric, to give additional strength, if desired. 7 t

It will be shaped in such manner as to secure the free motion of the hand and fingers ii -writing.-

V The ends of the cufl' blotter will he broughttogether and fastened by an elastic cord or band, or in any other convenient manner that will allow the'cufi' to be reversed when the outersurface has become soiled or injured.

The object secured by this invention the command of a ready blotter, which, being worn upon the hand while writing, saves the necessity of frequent handling of any detached blotter, and, furthermore,

protects the pages of the book or paper from being soiled by theseeretions of the hand, 86G.
