To all iblwm it may concern Be it known that I, WILLIAM G. Ronny, citizen of the United States, residing at Grafton, in the county of Taylor and State of West Virginia, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Catamenial Sacks, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.

The principal object. of theinventiou is to improve the general construction of a device of this character.

A second object. of the invention is to provide an improved form of carrier for absorbent cotton in a device of this character.

With the above and other objects in View the invention consists in general of certain novel features of construction and combination of parts hereinafter fully described,

and specifically claimed.

The form of deviceillustrated consists of a boatshaped body portion 20 having a flat forward end 21 and a pocket 22 at the rear end. which'are secured to the body at a point between the opening 23 and the pocket 22, the straps being secured to the under side of said body. It will be noted that by having these straps secured in spaced relation to the end of the socket when the device is in use the straps tend to compress the cotton held therein at the point of attachment and not at the end of the pocket. By reason of this the absorbent held in the pocket is not squeezed in such manner 'as to. tend to eject it or cause its accumulation in the center of the device but on the contrary the pledge-t of cotton held in the pocket prevents s11 ping and loss. At the free end of each of these straps is a button 28, the buttons being similar to the buttons .26.

For the purpose of attaching the device the body of the user there is provided a belt 33 to encircle the waist and depending from this belt are adjustable straps 34 each carrying a suitable loop 35 for engagement with the buttons 26 and 28. 4

In using the invention the pocket 24 is stuii'ed with absorbent cotton and the cotton brought up and stuffed into the pocket 22 so that it lies along between the opening 23 and the pocket 22. YVhen the device is applied the straps 34 are attached in such manner that the pocket 22 lies to the rear of the wearer as can be seen by reference to Fig. 2.
