, My inventionis an improvement in shower bath apparatus, and has for its object the provision of a metal, economical portable, extension shampoo, and shower attachment, with practically no wearing parts,'one"that can be closed so as to permit of being carried in an ordinary suit case, easily and quickly attached to any standard combination hot and'cold water cock, and extended which the "tolto provide for the desired hath.

Another object of my invention is'to provide an economical extension combination shampoo and shower bath attachment con structcd of metal with practically no wean ing parts that can be readily and quickly atttachcd to any standard combination hot and cold water cock, and easily extended and held inplace secure at the desired height without the use of-screws or any means of support other than that afi'ordcd by the fixture itself, and which can, through the removal of the shower head, be used as a simple extension cock, and thus meet all the requircu'ients ot"- a lavatory or basin without any cost other than that of the at tachment. 7

Another object of my invention is to provide an ornamental fixture of graceful design that can be installed in connection with any lavatory and serve two purposes, that of an ordinary cock, through removal of shower head, and a shampoo cock through the addition of shower head, with the added propcrtiesof being able to extend same to suit any head, and redirect spray at any desired angle, thus doing away with two sets of fixtures as'at present employed;

The portion 6 of the pipe is provided with a union 7 for connecting the pipe with the inlet, and the pot tion of the pipe is arranged between the 'valves 8 and 9 of the hot and cold water pipes and between the inlet 1 and the adjacent side of the tub. The portion 6 of the pipe extends directly downward from the inlet 1 and the arch 10 connecting the two portions extends toward the end of the tub, so that the portion 5 is entirely out of the way of the occupant of the top when bath ing in the usual manner.

When the clamping members are released as above mentioned the pipe 11. may be moved longitudinally, sliding through the sleeve 14: and the gasket 18. The pipe 11 is not only slidable in the pipe 5, but is also rotatable in the said pipe whatever its position with regard to the said pipe. The

The union 30 clamps the shoulder or rib 32 against the annular enlargement 31, and the ends of the branches are recessed, as shown, to receive the ends of the T. The T with the head is'rotatable with respect to the branches 12 and 1.3, so that the head 35 may be directed laterally, upwardly and downwardly, or in the intermediate positions.

'With the parts in the position shown in F ig. 1, the head 35 may be raised or lowered with respect to the tub by pulling or pushing on the pipe 11, and the head may also be revolved around the pipe 11 and may be swung to direct the spray in any desired direction for any form of bath. hen the head 35 is removed, the device is merely an extension of the inlet 1 and may be used, to dirbct a stream instead of a shower. When not in use, the pipe 11 may be telescoped into pipe 5, thus making a very compact device for storage or transpm-Yation.

I claim: i

1. An apparatus of the character specified, comprising a pipe coiuposed of two substantially parallel portions of unequal length connected at one end, the free end of the short portion having means for connecting it to the common inlet of a bath tub, a second pipe slidable at one end in the long portion of the first pipe and rotatable with respect thercto,-said second pipe having a pair of diverging branches at the other end, said branches curving outwardly and again inwardly, a T connecting the free or outer ends of the branches and rotatable on the branches, and a spray head connected to the lateral branch of the T, and means for securing the said pipes in adjusted position.

2. An apparatus of the character specified, comprising a pipe composed of two substantially parallel portions of unequal mgth connected at one end, the free end Jf the short portion having means for son a second pipe slidable at one end in the long portion of the first pipe and rotatable with respect thereto, means for securing the pipes in adjusted position, said second pipe having branches at its upper end, the branches being curved outwardly away from each other, and a spray head rotatahly connected with the free ends of both branches.

3. An apparatus oi the character specified, com 'irising a pair of telescoping pipes, means for securing the pipes in adjusted position, one of the said pipes having a return portion at its outer end provided with means for engaging the common inlet oi": a bath tub, a shower or spraying head, and means for engaging the said head to the outer end oi the other pipe, to permit the head to swing and to rotate with respect to the said other pipe.
