branch pipes 99 conveniently communicating with the lower part of the rear end of each vault 3, together with a vertical supply pipe 10 having branch pipes 1111 running through the floors 12 separating the vaults from one another. The exhaust pipe 8 is connected with an exhaust blower or other like apparatus 14.- shown conveniently driven by an electric motor 15. The pipe 10 is connected with a -tank or reservoir 16 containing suitable antiseptic material such as formaldehyde, or other desired antiseptic. Thus it will be seen the exhaust fan or blower 14 will cause a circulation through the several vaults by suction and the antiseptic material or gas will be drawnfrom the reservoir 16 up into and through the various vaults. Thus a circulation as continuous as desired will be produced resulting in a thorough withdrawal of the gases from the various vaults and disinfecting of the same.

It will be understood that changes and modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention.

What I claim is:

1. A burial crypt having an inlet at or near its top, and an outlet at or near its bottom, in combination with means for introducing gas through the inlet and means for withdrawing the air and gases through the outlet.

2. In a burial crypt, the combination of vertically arranged inlet and outlet pipes and branch pipes extending respectively from the "vertical inlet pipe to the top of one end of the crypt, and from the vertical outlet pipe to the bottom of the other end of the same.

To all whom 1' t may concern Be it known that I, WILLIAM S. FREEMAN, a citizen of the United States, residin at Chicago, in the county of Cook and state of Illinois, have invented a certain new and useful lnn'irovement in Burial -Crypts, of which the following is a full, clear, concise, and exact description, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification.

My invention relates to burial crypts, and its object is to provide a simple, practical and inexpensive form of burial crypt; to provide for the proper ventilation of the same; to arrange for the disinicctingof the crypt and its various parts; and to accomplish the foregoing and other desirable results in a simple and expeditions manner.

In carrying out my invention I arrange to introduce in some convenient manner an antiseptic material into the crypt and preferably arrange for the circulation of air within the crypt or vaults thereof. This is conveniently done by circulating an antiseptic gas or air containing the same through the crypt or its vaults by suitable apparatus involving a circulating system with proper supply of antiseptic material.

In .the accompanying drawing, the figure is a vertical section of a burial crypt embodying my present invention.
