This reversal is automatically,effected by the combined action of the supporting bracket and link 8.

\Vhcn the parts are fully reversed, as shown in Fig. 9, the lower bracket (3 and link 8 stand in cross position, as shown. because the pivot- 10 has changed its position from one'side of the-center 5 to the other. In all these different positions however. both these, pivots T and flare always on thc'same side of the plane of the panel 12 carried by the bed.

By mounting the bed in the manner shown. it allows ready access to the closet. If it is desired to facilitate the turning of the bed when the door 3 is opened. there ma be placed a suitable latch 18 on the/door 3 and when the bed is in the closet and the door 3 closed; will be adapted to engage some portion as 19 on the bed-carrying structure. 'hen the door is thus opened. it will carry the bed-carrying structure and bed with it a short distance until it is turned out far enough into the room to be grasped by the attendant and the reversalcompleted: the latch 18 slipping otl'the pin 19. due to the diflerent paths of travel of the bed and the door 3.
