It will be seen that if, at any time, the water level in the boiler lowers beyond the point desired, additional water may be suplied at substantially a boiling temperature Yy opening the stop Acock 24. The steam within the cooker will maintain the .water in the cover section 2 at substantially a boiling point without ebullition so that more water may be added to the boiler at any time vWithout materially lowering its temperature and this hot- Water reservoir above the steam space also serves to insullate the same from exterior inuences.

While I have shown the communication between the upper and lower water spaces to be 'arranged within the cooker, having found this arrangement to be particularlyadvantageous, yet it would be possible under some circumstances to `arrange this communicating channel outside of the respective sections.

The medial section or sections are likewise provided with brackets to support the trays 36 provided with handles 37 and foraminous bottoms 38. The

several trays will be of such a size as to drop into -place without interference with the pipe sections or they will, as shown, be provided with, peripheral notches 39 within which the pipe sections lie.

Having thus described the invention what is claimed is:

In a sectional steam cooker comprising a lower section, an intermediate section adapted to be mounted thereon, a cover section mounted upon said intermediate section, the said cover section being provided with a pair of spaced diaphragme to form a dead air space, a reservoir' formed Within Said cover above said diaphragms, means of communication to said reservoir, telescopically arranged pipes mounted within the sections and connecting said reservoir. to said lower section, brackets mounted within the lower and intermediate section, and trays adapted to rest upon said brackets, said trays being of substantially the same-diameter in cross section as said sections and being formed with peripheral longitudinally extending recesses adapted to receive said pipes, whereby said trays may be readily in/sjted or removed from the cooker.
