To all whom it may concern! Be it known that I, JOHN VVoon, a
citizen of the United States of America, re-'- as used in connection with theignition de vices for internal combustion engines, as for example, two different sets of batteries, either primary or storage; or a battery and magneto may be connected.

The locking device proper comprises a struck-up portion or projection q. Located above this projection is a rotative barrel -member 1" having a groove 8 cut in its lower portion, which groove is for'the purpose of receiving the projection g and is of such shape that the barrel -member 1' may be turned about the projection by means of the key 7 either to lock the switch-lever it against movement, as shown in Fig. 1, or
permit the projection g .to pass freely through this groove, as shown in Figs. 2'
and 4. The key if and the thimble u are so constructed that the key canbe removed only when the switch-lever h is in a locked position, as shown in Figs. 1 and 3. A plate w is'mounted for rotation in the thimble u and is provided with a slit therein to permit the key to be inserted as in the well known Yale lock construction. The wings a: on

It will be noticed that the projection g and the center portion of the groove 8 is of Such shape that the barrel member r can be turned from theposition shown in Fig. 1
to that shown in Fig. 2; that is to say, the
center portion of the groove 5 is slightly concave, as shown at 3. When the groove 8 in the barrel member 1" is in the position shown in Figs. 2 and 4, the p ojection 9 simply passes through the groove permitting the lever to be swung from right to left and vice versa. Figs. 1 and 3 show the barrel 1 turned so that the groove 8 stands transverse to the projection q. The lever is then looked and the key maybe removed and the switch left, without any danger of itsbeing moved. I
The pivot pin 2', it will be noticed, has an extension piece 2' attached\ theretofand threaded on. this piece are nuts 2' to hold the switch lever in place, which are turned 1' whereby the lever may be retained in a down onto the elastic plate 0, as shown. A projection h on the end of the lever h enters a slit 0 of the elastic member 0.
The switch is shown with the letters B M and the word Oil to designate the three positions of the switch lever h, as being connected with the battery, magneto, or oft positions of the lever.
