aving described our invention, what we claim and desire to secure by Letters-Patent is: 1 In a basket, the combination of a body having a bottom wall and supports depending from opposite ed es thereof and also having side walls eac of which is made up of a plurality of thicknesses of material, through and through fasteners extending through and connecting said thicknesses of I material and having outer portions, of V- shape in plan, and a resilient bail having side portions adapted to be sprung into and out of the V-shaped portions of the fasteners and also havin extending termina portions at the ends of the bail; said terminal ortions being journaled in the supports of the body at points slightly below the bottom wall thereof and I having their inner ends positioned to engage the bottom wall of the body when the side portions of the bail are in the V-shaped portions of the fasteners.

2. In a basket, the combination with a body having a bottom wall and supports depending from opposite edges thereof and also havin side walls and open keepers carried by and extending laterally outward from said side walls; of a resilient bail having side portions adapted to be sprung into and out of said open keepers, and also having inwardly and upwardly extending terminal portionsat the lower ends of-the side portions, journaled in the supports in a plane slightly below the bottom wall of the body inwardly and upwardly 1 and having ends constructed to engage said bottom wall when the side portions of the bail are in the open keepers, substantially as and for the purpose set forth.
