Speciiication of Letters Patent.
Patented Nov. 26, 191i?.
Application iled March 13, 1911. Serial No. 614,229.
To all lwhom 'it may concern: t
Be it known that I, PAUL MCKE, a subject of the King of Prussia, residing at Schnau, in the Kingdom of Prussia, Germany, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Flower-Vases, of which the following is a speciiication.
This invention relates to a flower-vase composed -of a certain number of tubes of small diameter mounted upon a common base. According to the invention the tubes are bent in Zig-zag shape so that the stem of the flower can be clamped in at any height which permits a very graceful arrangement of the flowers.
In the accompanying drawings the improved flower-vase is shown Figure l is an elevation of the improved iower-vase. Fig. 2 shows one tube with'a iiower.
The tubes of which the vase is composed are bent in zig-zagvso that the concavities of the one side are nearly in vertical alinement with the concavities of the other side.
The stem of the flo-wer which is placed in such a tube is thus clamped in between the consecutive concavities without being broken, so that it will be possible to securely fix in said tubes at a suitable height even flowers with very short stems.
An improved flower vase consisting of a base plate and of a certain number of tubes mounted upon said plate and corrugated from the bottom to the top so that the stalks of the iowers are securely maintained at any convenient height by said oorrugations.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand in the presence of two witnesses.
PAUL MCKE.
Witnesses ERNST W. KA'rz,
FRANZ GELLNER.
