" Be it k`nown that I, JOHN H. ELLIS, of Peoria, in
I the county of Peoria and State of Illinois, have in- `sented a new and valuable Improvement in Canning and Preserving Fruit;-and Ido hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of y the construction and operation of the same, reference I `being had to the annexed `drawing making apart of `this specification, and to the lettersand figures of ref- `erence marked thereon.
